They are about music and revolution, mixed up in a wilfully, wicked, jim-jamboree of fun and emotional intensity. They are to be judged on their Music first! . Do not look at them first, do not smell, taste or touch them first, listen to the Music then feel free to go mad on the rest of the site.
Smiling Machine is a three-piece band. Keith C. Clancy (Bass&Vocals), Jason F. Daly (Guitar&Vocals) and Anto' (Drums&Vocals).
Smiling Machine have been a secret for far too long. Having played together for three years they preferred to lay low and play select shows until the completion of their self-produced debut L.P. ‘Vol.II'. After a tremendous response to their album (finished earlier this year) and the subsequent live gigs, Smiling Machine are now emerging as one of the most energetic and awe inspiring acts you are likely to have seen in a long, long time…. if not ever.
Hailing from Cork, Ireland, their music is a fabulous fondue of pop, rock, psychobabble country and lilting folk, which runs the full gamut of emotional intensity. Love and hate, humour and disgust, despair and ecstasy, funky power and joy.
Triumphantly musical, sometimes off the wall, but always brilliant. Smiling Machine must be heard to be believed.
